Yeah, I got it on the fenders as well. I'd say its a must.
I have alos had the problem of a large scratch in the plastic on another of my cars and it does catch dirt there and show, buts to me its worth not having a large paint scratch. I didn't have the mirrors dones because I've never seen a good Porsche mirror done right.
