im actually trying to remove that bottom black part of the mirror

i know how to pull out the glass and then.. im stuck

is ther DIY or manual chart on how to remove drivers and pass side view mirrors?

then there is my shifter.. i dont even know where to start-- ive read somewhere that i have to pry the button up? i dont even want to try this without someone advice
