Not to be a smart-a$$, but if you just purchased the car and have the extra $5k, why didn't you buy an S to begin with? More HP, 6 sp tranny, better brakes and suspension.
I'd save most of the money for future maintenance and repairs. You didn't state the mileage, but a used Boxster will require some expensive items and perhaps that would be the best time to consider upgrades.
