I don't understand why, even in Texas(where my car is from), they use 0W40? It's harder to find, costlier and the temp. usually isn't below -25C...even in Canada! Anyone?????????

I've used M1 0w40 ever since I got the car, but I'm thinking of switching to Castrol Syntec 5w40 next time.
