Socrat: I like it. I've been using all kinds of stuff over the years on saddles and other cars. My wife hates Lexol, neatsfoot oll, Meg's Leather One Step, etc (the stoopidest Meg's product is some wipes in a can.. these people are all hype and little product!) and the only thing she uses on her saddle is someting with 'thane' in it.
I like Leatherique. It has a label made at Kinkos..and it doesn't live up to their hype 'raises the dirt to the surface' (maybe my stuff is not all that dirty?!) - but also doesn't 'oil' the hell out of the leather.. and there's a part-2 that skims off any excess.
I got some real leather (natural tan) to re-do the seat of my truck when I get some time. I don't like what passes for modern hide. Even Connolly before they went tits-up was making 'painted' leather that looked like viynl. I got leather in my little Ford SUV and Visteon would have been better off offering Ford some hi-grade viynl as an option given the marginal look/feel of their 'leather'.
I may be able to offer more about what's in the seat in the near future. I need to buy a beater to make a dog seat pattern. If so - then I can take it apart to see what's on the underside. Let you know.
