There are many short shifters available for the Boxster. I checked out this forum regarding this issue many times, but decided to purchase the Porsche short shifter. It seems many people who have purchased the aftermarket shifters find them too stiff "notchy" when shifting. I really like the Porsche 9x7 shifter. I would definately recommend it. It significantly reduced the shift distance and is very smooth.
