I have adjusted my mirrors as described in this article for about the last 10 years. Once you get used to it it helps to greatly reduce the blind spot. Admittedly, the blind spot on the Boxster is bigger than any other car I've owned so I don't adjust them quite as wide as usual, but this methods helps some on the Boxster and virtually eliminates the blind spots on my other vehicles. - Takes a while to get used to, but now I can't drive a car without the mirrors set like this.
