I'll be in a '08 base 987 with PASM and Sport Chrono (so therefore defeatable PSM - John) I'll be on 18" wheels (stock widths are 8" and 9").

I plan on running Hoosier A6, 275 fronts and either 275/35, 285/30 or 295/30 rears. I have a set of 5mm spacers. Any opinions on tires? (Please don't tell me that these are too wide for the wheels, I already know they are not ideal but will mount and fit in the wheel wells.) The stock 265/40s give me 71mph at redline in 2nd. The 275s will give me 69, the 285s 66.6 and the 295s 67.3

Unfortunately, Alan, PSM cannot be completely disabled. It will try to "save" you by hitting the brakes if you get the back end swinging too much through a slalom, and it will cut the power if you try to left foot brake. And the brake diff just makes the car push exiting sweepers.

If I had your car, I'd be running the 295 Hoosiers front and rear. Most people seem to like them better than the 285s.

Hope to see the car out at some events next year.
