Finding info on these motors is hard to come by. So I'll do you a favor and let you know what I found.

Code is going to be M96. It varies as it's used from boxster, to caymen, to NA Carrera.

Compression ratio: 11.0:1 around there depending on which application

Injector size is 23lbs/min

You can tell which motor has a butterfly valve as it sits within the 2nd chamber of the intake manifolds of 2.7L and later motor cars.

VarioCam is also used, with VarioCam Plus in later cars.
