I honestly do not know why I got it. I have never bought a Porsche from a dealer. I have not registered my boxster with Prosche as well. I am not a memebr of any Porsche clubs or mailing lists.

I did go to the Porsche website before and built a couple of Cayennes and Boxsters online for fun. I saved my results online.

I test drove a Cayenne once at an authorized dealer but I don't think I ever gave them any of my personal info. I did receive a Porsche Cayenne info DVD package a few months ago as well. It came like a nice box set DVD with literature etc.

Most likey got my info that I filled out when I was on the website while building virtual cars.

Weird thing is that my friend that got the DVD set told me to to do the same and then I got my DVD set shortly afterwards. However, he never got the free Raod sign. He owns a boxster as well. My father in law bought a 97 boxster new from the dealer and hasn't received one either. He did receive free stuff for about 5-6 years after he bought his porsche new. He even got a personalized Cayman promo print when they first got intoroduced. It pictured the back of a Cayman with his name on the licencse plate. He stopped receiveing free stuff now.

I guess Porsche NA targets certain age groups and the likelyhood of a purchase etc. when they send out promo's.
