There are not earth shattering differences between the '06 and '08; however the comparison is a bit difficult as my '06 did not have the short shifter and the factory Porsche Sport Exhaust (which in my opinion are significant differences). I can safely say that both the '06 and '08 are magnificent cars, especially when comparing them with my former '06 Lotus Elise. While it is not my intent to bash the Elise, I believe I would have enjoyed the Elise more, had I never owned the '06 Boxster.
