I'm in the middle of replacing my headers and I want to replace the 12 header bolts.
The parts list says they are M8 x 28.
The Porsche retail price is $1.44 (from renntech.org).
Local dealer wants $3.00 each.
Is there anything special about the bolts? Can I just buy M8 x 28 bolts from the hardware store. The thread pitch on every M8 I see online is 1.25.
Are the Porsche bolts a special grade? special coating?
I'd call Sunset but I need them this week.
