i used 2 pliers and broke the pieces in 2...then since they are very flexible i just bent them in an oval kind of and pulled them out, so i didn't use the soldering iron at all.
no scratches and no haxing or anything...plus i bet even if you have scratches it wont affect anything since its smokes lenses and you cant see inside.
