Bad luck with the ticket. Take a minute though to think of us poor Aussies. In the state of Victoria, the tolerance on speeding is 3KM/H. That''s 2mph. A colleague of mine got a ticket from a fixed speed camera going into a tunnel for doing 82km/h in an 80km/h zone.
To top that off, the maximum speed limit is 110km/h which is about 68mp/h.
We do have lots of long straight deserted roads, but it is actually really dangerous to speed along these. Too many kangaroos!
The Northern Territory has no speed limit, but it takes 2 whole days to drive there from Melbourne. The tyranny of distance we call it.
The only way around it - get your speed kicks on the track. Then you can really let rip!
