Yep, Paul is spot on.
Just because it was assembled in 01 doesn't make it an 01. Pretty much the ONLY thing that means is that it was assembled in 01. The manufacture date is rarely that pertinent.
You'll be looking for parts for an 02. For all purposes, it's an 02. Marketing, parts, resale -anything, it's an 02.
