I had a couple of the spots on my hood just like you described.

I would call the local guys and have them come by and give you a price. You can get afeel for them and they will be alot less expensive then the nataional known chains.

I've got a guy that I've used for a couple of years, he did my two cars recenlty, about 14 dents for $200.
