Don't worry about drilling through the pedals, Nick. It's not hard, just a bit time consuming to drill through the brake pedal. The other's are pretty easy. I put in a set of aluminum pedals purchased from a board member.
The cheapest part I bought for the Box was the red clip. $3.95.
