I disagree. The clear bra's sound great, but the plastic can get pulled up when the car is getting washed. Also, because they are held with adhesive, when a rock hits the car it still chips the paint but the bra holds the chipped paint in place until you remove the bra and find your hood needs a new paint job.
And the crested hood bra has a small vinyl window where the car crest shows through, or at least on the old ones.
