Right, a little smoke at startup is not a bad thing. The flat design of the engine lends itself to oil pooling in the cylinder heads. Sometimes a little gets in and you get a little smoke.

If it happens later than right at startup, you might have other problems, like the AOS going bad. I'd check the throttle body area for oil. If there's oil drips around it, you may have a failing AOS.
