I believe that you're supposed to see a doctor in the event of a spoiler staying up for more than 4 hours

I honestly don't know the answer to your question, but I have heard people talking about the spoiler relay. Maybe check the FSM/tech manual and see if you can find it? Relays are pretty easy to check.
