Your summer tire compound will likely have stopped working at 7 deg. C. I have been on a slippery track in the rain where the temp. dropped below 10 and the tires stopped working. It was like driving on butter and had to let all the 4 wheel drives by.

It is quite easy to slide it around street corners in the cold even when dry...the compound just falls off due to the ambient temp. change; where it stuck like like glue before
