I love how quickly they get up to 100mph.

It's pretty cool you got to take your car out on a drag strip. Was the track wet? I have done many pulls from 0-100 and never had the TC light flicker. My car is an 00 2.7 too.

Not wet. But it was cold out and the tires were semi cold. No one raced on it within an hour before I did so the road was cold too.

I had my car out the other day in the cold and I get no traction into third. Maybe I'll make a video :)

Your summer tire compound will likely have stopped working at 7 deg. C. I have been on a slippery track in the rain where the temp. dropped below 10 and the tires stopped working. It was like driving on butter and had to let all the 4 wheel drives by.

It is quite easy to slide it around street corners in the cold even when dry...the compound just falls off due to the ambient temp. change; where it stuck like like glue before

Yeah. Sometimes with TC on, I do manage to spin the tires accelerating in a straight line, even though I am not even pushing the throttle hard and trying to accelerate normal. That happens in 25 degrees F. or colder weather for me.

The coldest temp I have driven in was 9 degrees Fahreinheit.

The one time I turned TC off, it was in the rain. I accelerated in 2nd gear starting from 30mph going in a straight line, then my car went sideways. I almost crashed.

In this video, it was about 38 degrees Fahreinheit outside.

How do you turn traction control off? I know you can turn PSM off on cars that come equipped with PSM, but I can see no other way with TC than through PIWIS or durametric. I am confused, as my car is an 2000 2.7l boxster too.

EDIT: I was really confused as I have the TC icon on my dash and it lights up when the ignition is in. Not on my options sticker under the hood, so not in my car (m222). No button = no option.

That is weird. I have a TC button in my car so I can turn it completely off. Sometimes the steering wheel blocks your view of it.

It is also possible you don't have TC at all.

I have an 01 2.7 and it doesnt have TC.

Yeah I forgot it is not standard. I have the P37 option on my Boxster, which is Traction Control.
