Golf Clubs fit :) :)

Just excited that I managed to fit my golf bag and clubs in the rear trunk I was told that they would not fit, but thought I would try anyways and they fit with room to spare. This would have been my one dislike about the car as I thought I would have to put them into the front seat

I mounted one of these for my Road Bike. the designer installed it on my car and it can be converted to a Golf Club carrier as well.

Golf clubs in trunk

Hi Mike,
Keen to see a picture. I've always grabbed the other car to go and play golf, but if they fit, hey..... Porsche and Golf on the same day. What more could we ask for

Clubs fit fine in the Boxster. Just take your woods out and lay them across the back portion of the trunk. The bag (if it's a carry/stand bag) will fit with the irons still in the bag. Still plenty of room for a shoe bag, boxes of balls, etc. If you use one of those giant cart bags then you're probably SOL though as they are usually "round" and not "oval" in shape and will be too thick to fit in the trunk.

Supposedly you can fit 2 sets of clubs/bags by taking out all of the clubs out of the bag and "compressing" the bags.

Don't take the woods out in mine.

No problem even with an R7 driver - just put the woodheads behind the right hand rear light cluster and the rest drops in.

Try the other way and it desn't work cos the bottom of the bag fouls on the collant expansion tank

Hmmm. No such luck for me putting the bag in with the woods. 983K with a 45" shaft. Not to mention tipping in the bag like that makes my irons go flying out.

But that's ok. Taking out the woods is a small price to pay.

I don't have to take any of the woods out & I have animal head covers. I use my ping hoofer bag & just angle the top just inside where the coolant tank is. I've been doing this for years. I only take the driver out of the bag if I carry more stuff in the trunk besides my clubs like extra shoes & rain gear.

mine fit

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum.
My clubs fit in my trunk no problem. I just take out my woods and the bag fits in pretty well. However, I did have to shop around a little to find a smaller bag. Just be careful with the stand legs on your bag.....mine got snaged once and it came across the rear spoiler....it left a pretty good scratch. That scratch has cost me first place at a show here in Austin. Just some thoughs on the idea.
