Rumour has it function first will be releasing 986 and 987 shift cables before the en

A little birdie told me that function first will be releasing 986 and 987 shifter cables of the same quality and design as their 996 and 997 cables.

I have been holding out getting numeric as apparently the FF cables are functional equivalent but insulated, so without the NVH.

Not a plug. Not associated with FF.

I'd have two questions (at least to start with):

Price, of course.

The design of the sheaths at the tranny end. My originals are cracking and breaking apart. And held together by vinyl tape at the moment.
