Like trying to love multiple children

AE86 needs so much work!
But I love her just the same.

One is older, not as successful, slower and not as pretty, but tries hard.
The other is the younger, spoiled brat who has everything.

Don't worry man the younger one is going to boarding school so the older one is going to get more attention then she may want.

The car is a very special car. It has a cult following, easy to tune, very cheap to maintain, and almost as much fun as the Boxster to drive, albeit without the speed. Lightweight, rear wheel drive, and its uniqueness makes it a gem. It's why old AE86s are going up in prices now that they are concours material. It is a driver's car, through and through. The predecessor to the new FRS/BRZ (aka FT86 in Japan, after AE86)

Unlike a civic or any other economical car, the car turns when you want it to turn. The throttle responds to the whim of your right foot. It makes me think back to when Jeremy Clarkson did his piece on the mini cooper and fiat 500 racing through the mountains. You don't need speed or luxury to make a driver's car. Lots of things have to go together to make it just right.

You should drive one It's quite something else.

Indeed a nice piece of machinery (at the time it was anyway). Even cuts hairpins like no other car does.

But seriously, this ride doesn't belong on public roads, it's meant for:
