Oh, ok, yours is a 2003 as well. Disregard my question about what year your S was. I have an 03 S as well. It's guards red with a black interior. I love it very much, but I would like to mod it a bit. It has the carrera wheel option, xenons, painted roll bars, and bose. I want to first get it lowered and then do some engine mods. It is pretty fast, but it would be nice if it was quicker. It's too bad the boxster engines aren't real receptive to mods, but thats the way things go I guess. btw, the kinesis wheels look awesome. very nice touch.

hum I didn't do much to it.. only the body kit, wheels, sparco lowering springs, danks muffler , a sony TV , xtant amps, morel speakers and jl audio sub. nothing to make it faster so far.....

QporscheQ 04-01-2004 05:21 PM

well done. Thats an awesome looking car. Those wheels rule.

jfmillr 04-02-2004 05:53 AM

yeah I agree, I like the Kenesis wheels.
THats one of the things I am going to do next. Now that I am done with the body put a lighter set of wheels on the car :)

XXXboxsterXXX 04-02-2004 09:32 AM

just a note for you guys... who every want to buy kinesis wheels.. , don't get the standard finish... have them powder coat it... the standard "stain" finish they called will come off if you use wheel cleaner to wash it !!! and it will cost you $250/ wheel to have it fix...

It looks really great! Not into mods myself really, but yours is well done and not over the top like some you see. Congratulations on a beautiful Boxster.

where did you get those kinesis wheels? and what size did you get? is the car lowered? looks sweet.
btw, I did a techart engine kit with stainless exhaust, headers, engine chip, and air filter / throttle bosy swap and the car really kicks. I't supposed to bump the hp and torque by 45-50.
feelit.

XXXboxsterXXX 11-15-2004 05:19 PM

I get those form kinesis.. they're 18 x 7.5 and 18 x 10 and I just have them redo the color, is bronz and gun metal... will post some pix soon !!

Lux 11-15-2004 08:17 PM

Those wheels are gorgeous. Damn! Your car has the perfect drop too. Please post more pics when you get the chance.

FUHRIUS 11-16-2004 03:05 PM

did you drop the car too?

and how much did those wheels cost you?

XXXboxsterXXX 11-16-2004 04:31 PM

Ywah the car have been lowered by sparco spring, and those wheels are about $900.

cyclocross 12-01-2004 11:38 AM

Looks good! Where did you purchase the GT3 front bumper? Is it a direct bolt-on or are additional parts (like ducts to radiators) required?

Perfectlap 12-21-2004 10:38 AM

where did you get the side skirts from?
I want some!!!
do you have weights for those wheels? under $20 pounds?

The side skirts and front bumper are from the Aerokit II. I have the same on my car. It also comes with a funky rear wing that I decided to leave off.

Perfectlap 12-23-2004 08:15 AM

does anyone other than Porsche make the Aerokit II skirting?
a front enhancement for my S?(without having to replace the whole bumper)

FUHRIUS 12-23-2004 08:32 AM

nice looking ride Lux.

Perfectlap 01-06-2005 09:27 AM

hey XXXboxserXXX,
I also have an arctic silver and I'm going to add GT3 style side skirts soon. Did you provide the paint to the body shop? Your's is a good match.

XXXboxsterXXX 01-06-2005 11:25 AM

yeah... I drop the car off for them to match it.. the side comes out pretty good... but not the bumper.. they said the plastic and metal never look the same even they're off the same color code....
