Boxster Wreck Pix
I stumbled across this on one of my many internet voyages. It's got some good -or, not-so-good pix.

If I'm not mistaken, this boxster wreck happened on the Tail of the Dragon, home of the 2007 986fourm.com's May 4-5 gathering!
Let's all start praying for a safe drive NOW, even though it's five months away.

I am going indeed... I think I am spearheading the gathering in fact. Not looking forward to the two days of hard driving to get there, but hey, a man has to do what a man has to do, ya know?
Yes, we do need to start thinking about lodging for those nights and when and where to best meet.
If you have stayed in a B&B or hotel or motel near the Tail of the Dragon and enjoyed your stay, do PM me with the name of it so I can research it.
Also, if you know of an ideal landmark (with sufficient parking) where we could all meet up, that would be good too... PM me on that too.
As soon as I get info on a handful of area hotels/motels/B&B's and a good place to gather, I'll post it on a new thread. BruceLee has agreed to make it a sticky thread or put it on the front page.
I might just create a new web page on my own site and link to it... haven't thought that far ahead yet.

I"m in. That is a beautiful drive down there from Richmond, VA.
I know we are all about the 986 on here, but if this grows, we may want to consider other Pcars. I know my buddy and I have talked about doing Deal's Gap (Tail of the Dragon) and he has a 993 C4S.
I won't mention it until I hear some feedback...
Jeff

I think all cars are welcome, other Pcars and even my buddy's MR2 Spyder, which can drive circles around my Boxster (it has a Supra engine in it). He'll be there too whether anyone likes it or not.
As long as all the boxster owners can gather and meet one another, then drive the dragon a few times, it will a great deal of fun!

RandallNeighbour,
As far as I am concerned, any car is welcome, as long as it can keep up

Isn't that around the time of the Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)? First week of June each year?
