Rebuilding the heads

These guys are clearly not seating.



Not surprisingly four of them are bent.



Luckily the valve guides are not damaged.



So fresh valves instead of the bent ones should fix it.



Using some grinding compound to improve seating of the new valves.



Lapping.



I had to go back to these ones 2 or three times.



But finally they were sealing.



Inspection for potential deterioration/warpage. Measured with the feeler gauge and a straight edge the difference everywhere was lower than 0.03mm. In the shop manual this is exactly the highest tolerated value for a freshly resurfaced head. The tolerance for a used head that you still can put back on is 0.05mm. Great news, no resurfacing needed.
