You have a good start. What colors are you going to use on the other panels:

Too funny, I posted that image on my facebook page the other day after taking that shot!

Moved the AC/Heater controller to the lower slot and ordered a double din CarPlay receiver. Don't worry, I'm getting the fill piece as well.

Funny, I fixed up an almost identically damaged car myself about 2 years ago. Needed a bumper, fender, headlight, the rad/fan/condenser assembly, and a few small plastic pieces. Thankfully I didn't have to touch the suspension. I ended up painting the bumper and fender off the car. Luckily they matched perfectly and there was no need to blend the adjacent panels. Let me know if you have any questions. Best of luck!

Yes, very similar. I'm planning on sending just the fender and cover to the painter, however, white is very tricky to match. Time will tell if blending will be necessary.

Body parts were dropped of with the painter on Friday, hope to have back in 7-10 days. In the meanwhile, added a Pioneer receiver, rear view camera, and short shifter. Everything is working, just need to button everything back up.

Feeling a bit frustrated. Went down to work on the car, wanted to get the interior back in shape as the paint shop will be done on Wed; trying to move this car along. The new stereo and back-up camera are working well. Went to role the windows up and nothing happened. Thought maybe I had blown a fuse, but it was fine. Tried the window relearn since battery has been disconnected on-and-off while I worked on the car, windows still in lowest position. Pulled center console back off to look for disconnected wires, but the window relay looms looked normal. Pulled climate control unit, which I had moved to the lower position and did find one 4-pin connector just hanging. At first I thought that I had solved my problem, but could not find the other connector. After searching the wiring diagrams, looks like it is the plug for the phone (see below).

So, can anyone think of why the windows won't move? Hard to believe that both switches or motors went at the same time.

Snow day here is B'ham so I had time to work on the car.

Turns out that it was a fuse afterall, C3 (control unit for central locking system/alarm systems).

Panels are back from paint, will clearly have to get some blending done to make it work. Drove it a few miles today to the gas station and back, very happy with the way it runs. Pulled a vacuum on the AC system and then charged, currently blowing cold air, hope it stays that way.

Nice work sir! I hope it gives you many pleasurable miles. And I don't see any paint matching issues on my iPad!

Car is aligned and a joy to drive. Will drop it off at a friends shop to get the rebuilt title next week.

Still working on getting everything lined up better, but that can be completed after it is titled. Need to get my 981 sold now.

Make sure the front hood line gets corrected, otherwise you will get water ingress into the frunk on the left side.

Got that one taken care of on Wed, will get pics.

Currently resurrecting one 99 myself, i was gonna say looks familiar, ha.

Any reason why you are looping the cooling system hoses? Also, what short shifter did you go with?

Radiator hose was looped until I could replace the radiator, original was destroyed in crash.

Cheap ebay short shifter, $50 shipped. Got the same one in my race car, no issues yet.

Ha with this car.

I entered a car show with a pristine Cayman and a beautiful Ferrari and a car just like this out of the tree can you guess who won.

Lemming 03-20-2019 12:43 PM

After what seems like an eternity, this car finally has it's rebuilt title and is on the road. Took a nice long drive today, the car is great.

I still plan to use the 55K engine as a spare for my SPB race car. Will starting looking for a good condition 3.2L to drop in. Might be a few months until I can make this happen.
