Not crazy at all

Looks beautiful. Only two things I'd suggest:

- Tyre dressing. AutoGlym do 'Instant Tyre Dressing' where you spray it on and it goes white, but dries clear and makes the tyres look deep, glossy and new. Very easy to apply and I do it on every wash.

- Headlights. I'd look at restoring them! Wet and dry sandpaper sounds daunting but I can promise you it's not. Or, get the Meguiars Headlight Restoration Kit and it'll include all you'll need to do it with step-by-step instructions. Turns them from yellow to crystal clear.

Other than that, gorgeous.

Thumbs up on this! It's cheap to do but is time consuming. Well worth the effort. I've done it on several old cars I've purchases and it's turned out great everytime.

Your Boxster looks sweet.

Nice. The clear tails look great on your car.

As far the heads, yes, give them a nice restoration and you'll be pleased. If wet sanding scares you and you have a polisher - just give them a good going over with some compound, polish and finish with a sealer.

Definitely let us know. You may something more agressive to get it really perfect. They have kits that include appropriate sandpaper and polish. Either way this should help improve things.

Oh yah, cover the surronding area. Using power tools really spreads the polish everywhere. You don't want to mess up your clean car.

Inner lens

The yellow appears to be more on the inner lens than the outer. Cleaning the outer will only make the inner even more unsightly. Some have had limited success removing outer lens to access the inner lens. Check for postings by Particalwave (sp?). I've heard of removing the inner lens, but have not viewed such a working headlight to understand how the light output was affected.
