Yes it's Alcantara with red stitching to match the seat belts. I will take some better pics to show the interior. I have made many mods but trying to keep it looking OEM as much as possible. Tough to do... it's like getting a tattoo, once you start you want another one. Then another, and another... LOL

Funny, I just got my 2000S out of storage today and was going to post an announcement of the arrival of 986 Spring and you beat me to it. Same color as yours but stock as the day it left the factory.

It really does look nice. And I am on the same page as you with "stock-like" mods. But it is hard to know when to say when.

Congrats on spring and getting her out already! I thought you guys just had a severe ice storm? Our ground is still all white (sigh). LOVE your wheels.

questions on additional mods...

John, thanks for the private msg... I thought i would respond and share with the 986 forum community. Here are some pics you requested on the edutainment system.

It is amazing - has the latest and greatest of everything i want and need.

Audio Illusion did the customization/installation and it fits in great with the OEM look.

I set the ground rules with them before touching the car... NO subwoofer in the passenger footwell, to tacky looking radio with flashing lights like a slot machine, no speaker grills other that what is now in car etc...

End result clean look, audiophile sound in a convertible.

Speaker Grills OEM:

Edutainment system with custom matt black faceplate matching rest of dash

8" subwoofer installed in customized compartment behind seats where useless shelf was located. Finished with black carpeting to blend in.

Edutainment Amplifier installed on a customized bracket with carpeting in front trunk/boot behind spare wheel.

Hope that answers your questions. Happy motoring!
