It's mad isn't it. A few grand for a PSE, or a hundred or so for a DIY version. Only difference is that it's always on, rather than switchable. But still, if you're handy with a welder you could weld some valves in.

Apparently the 997 plenum and throttle body fits right onto the 986's 3.2. That, along with a good air filter and the de-snorkel mod, will see quite a nice increase in BHP.

Surprising what you can do to these cars

Just started soldering up the Arduino modification for the roof. Should be interesting to see if it works

But in the meantime, have another video of the exhaust listen to those pops!

Finally had a chance to take some decent photos of my own since buying it. Didn't have chance due to the appalling weather, but here's some nice ones!

Nice looking ride. I love my '03 S and hope to get it out of hibernation in a couple of weeks if this warming trend continues.

Got round to polishing the exhaust a bit more:

And gave the engine bay a clean (hasn't been cleaned since new):

Before:

After:

Not quite where I want it yet but it's a damn sight better.

Currently just AutoGlym shampoo, a washmitt and an old chamois. Afterwards I gave it a spray of AutoGlym Tyre Dressing, which makes the blacks shine a little more.

I want to rub back the metals in the bay and polish them back up so they're shiny, and really scrub the rest of the dirt away on the engine bay.

I may even cut up a small cube of sponge, dip it in white paint and dab it onto the 'PORSCHE' lettering on the manifolds, so they're white against black.

Thanks, appreciate it

I really can't wait for the summer, just so I can keep on top of keeping it looking nice. I usually wash my car once a week, but it's every 5-6 weeks (if that) thanks to the winter, and practically no chance to clean the inside. This was the first day I had where it was lovely weather and a day off work, so I spent it detailing the Porsche.

Just ordered some rear parking sensors to install whenever I get the next sunny day

When my wife gets on me for being obsessive about my 03, I can just say "I'm not that bad compared to this guy geraintthomas in the UK!" Thanks!

Hahaha, now I've got nothing to say to my girlfriend!

"Hey at least I'm not as bad as... uhh... yeah I'm that bad."

My dad used to work with a gt who cleaned his R32 golf every lunch time in work. Now that's mental.

Thank you Nah the originals were 17", and 255 at the rear. These are 18" and 265 at the rear. They're wider outwards, so they're more flush with the body, which looks fantastic

Thanks! I've been meaning to hammerite the brake hubs back to silver, but haven't got round to it.

I'm installing parking sensors tomorrow wish me luck!
