I recently made the shock discovery that my speed yellow 986S had a green interior. Apparently only the original owner thought this was a good combination by ordering it that way. At some point in its life with probably another owner it had a respray of the interior to black.

respray interior?

i've heard it said porsche enthusiasts are color enthusiasts, be it strange combinations or paint that just bends with the light. my family colors are green and yellow but i'll stick with them my way. wish you had pics of the original though!

Christianh, I have always liked the originality of your car. The color may not be on my list of choices, but it is clean and unique.

Funny thing is if I was ordering a BRITISH car, I would definitely order the classic colors of British racing green with yellow wheels and tan interior.

It would be nice to see the original color of speed yellow with green interior.

Given that we haven't been flooded with pictures of green interiored Boxsters, it might indicate the rarity of its existence. I too would like to see pics of this.

That looks like the shade I've known as "hospital" green. There's green and there's green, this is far from my favorite shade. But there's no arguing with taste.

Wow - I didn't even realize this thread existed! Here's my contribution. 1999 Boxster. Ocean Sage Metallic. The color was offered only in 1998-1999 for the Boxster.
