Why isn't there a Silver Boxster thread??
 

Just curious as there seems to be threads for the other colors.

Those of us who have Arctic Silver know and appreciate this iconic color (same color as the iconic 550, rs60 / 61, rsk) and don't feel the need to boast about this heritage (lol)

you put 996 lights and front bumper on it?

yes, complete front end

it was hit when i got it

must confuse the hell out of 996 owners

so it was more than just the bumper cover

were the lights plug and play?

this is a race car only, im racing with PCA

i had a 996 front end in stock and not a 986 at the time i built this car, that's why

headlights are plug and play, sometimes you have to play with the pins inside if you have regular hl and you want to put xenon hl

2003 artic silver streak.

Just detailed the car and added a couple things. New colored crest center caps, depo tails and de-badged. One of the cool things about this thread (besides all the silver Boxsters) is to see what all the different rims look like on a silver Boxster. I still like the 5 spoke wheels the best and, hopefully, will one day find an affordable set for my '99.:cheers:

Agreed. I can't help but feel the stock 17's look dated. The simple addition of newer 5-spokes or (my favorite) the lobster forks completely change the look of the car, like a facelift.

wow too many nice silver's!!!!....i really like some of the stock photos....boxsterinjapan,flint,kram,smallb,... i really wanted a dark blue boxster then i almost got a darker gray one but ended up with a silver one it had the best documented service records and had the sixty thousand mile service i got mine just around sixty seven thousand miles for 8,100.00 about 5 months ago or so.....and yes that is my fuggly 1959 356 D with my 98 boxster ....my 356 is fuggly but actually runs pretty damn gooood!

I keep going back and fourth on how I feel about the amber headlights. At first I did not like them and was fascinated with de-ambering but sometimes I look at my car (or this car) and i think to myself wow the Amber look great. Maybe it looks best on Arctic silver. I've decided my new mantra is "Embrace the amber"

New side stripes…did one to see how I like. I'm grooving' on them. Still need to do the front piece. What do you think? Keep or not?

I think they look good, particularly on a silver car.
