Oregon has a lot of love for vets. As a disabled vet I qualify for free vehicle registration for life (after a $15 one time fee) but I didnt like the way that plate would look on my Boxster (theyre bland and boring looking). Instead I elected to pay an extra $20 per year (plus standard registration) for Oregon's South West Asia Service Medal recipient plate. You must have earned this medal to get this plate, I earned mine in 1990 during Operation Desert Storm. Heres how it looks on the Box. The dirt you see was on the lens not on the plate...

personal plates

I was thinking of a personalized plate for my new purchase (April 13/2015) but here in Ontario they are expensive: 310.00 now, I think. It was only 175.00 a year or so ago when I put one on my wife's Miata. Meanwhile, I kept my veteran's plates from the 98 Jaguar XK8 convertible which I sold after I found the Boxster, so I transferred them to the Porsche.

Half credit if you get the plate, full credit if you know the inspiration for the racing number.

Side Note: When was the last time you saw a boxster lift a tire on street tires and stock suspension! M030 and GT3 bar..almost stock
