Congrats and great looking car w/ the 996 front end makeover and all.

Did you do the front conversion? If not, any idea about vehicle history as a well known one used to be on here owned by Jeff (?) a few years back. Small world and very karma cool if it resurfaced again here.

Drive her in good health!

Hahahaha! Jeph was indeed the proud owner of this car! It was purchased from him a couple years ago by someone else and now by me. I've already had a chance to talk with Jeff about it and send him updates on how the car is doing lol.

That guy loves this machine.... But I fully understand why.

It's like 60lbs... Besides, I offset its weight by always driving with low oil, gas, and coolant. +300 horses to the wheel. Dyno tested.

Just adding the ipad install to the list of mods.

Decided to update my keys a bit. I vinyl wrapped one and sprayed/ glossed the other. I'll do a week long test to see how they hold up.

I've kept the roof actually, I drove the car to work today with the roof on. The soft top is due for replacement though. The top itself is wearing out and the plastic window in the back is, of course, cracked. I've been looking into GAHH tops and I'm really close to pulling the trigger on one. I'm trying to figure out what color I want for the top. Right now it's between Orion Gray, Space Gray, Black, or Brown.

I decided to give the car some dimension this weekend by adding a rear PORSCHE logo and an offset stripe. I was hesitant on the stripe for a while but figured, as I get older, I'll be less likely to put one on my car. So, it's now or never. Besides.... YOLO.

^ "Porsche after Sex" lovely

This below is also nice. Love the stripes, great that you've selected the correct (inverted) offset-tone and placed them on the left side of the body. Uniqueness rules! Very elegant

PS: What on earth is wrong with the shadows in your area?? If you look at the little skinny bush's shadow.... the shadow is twice the size of the bush and so dark. Isn't it a bit scary when you folks walk out and have those 'horror movie dark' shadows following you?!

I'm stuck in a heavily polluted area, I don't get to see any of those

Thanks! I think the stripe turned out perfectly. I love the effect it gives off. The stripe goes from completely matching the cars paint to a super vivid silver depending on the lighting and angle. I'll try and take a video walk-around, it's awesome and I think it's a really unique and classy look since it looks like only a portion of the stripe is visible as you drive by. Kind of like the stripe is sliding down the car. It's really cool.

Unfortunately, the rain started today so I'll have to wait on that video a couple days. Oh... And the shadow you see in the picture of a palm tree that's off camera haha. We do have pretty nice contrast in this area though :P

Say hello to Boxy Grannis

Finished the UDP installment last Friday. I decided to weigh the new pulley vs the stock. This is what I got
Stock:

Aftermarket:

The car does feel peppier, I really feel it when I'm accelerating out of a curve in a low gear. From a dead start, the car feels just as quick but I do hit the upper RPMs quicker so maybe the car is a tad faster.... Or my clutch is going

I think the next addition to the car will be deleting the two extra cats in the exhaust... That's after I address the little problem of my camshaft sensor cel.

The "before" picture is gorgeous.

The "after" picture is...................you know, you may be better served if you actually drove your Boxster instead of modded it..............

Just sayin'............

Thanks?

Hahaha, plasti dip peelable paint . Not the best after picture of the car... I agree. The before is right after a wash and wax, while the after is at least three weeks and like 700 miles without one.
Thinking back at it... I've had the car for just under three months now and put 4k miles on it so far modding after work and driving on the weekends. Tis the life.
