Thanks particle. It took some time getting all of the parts together and painting the spoiler. The install was pretty straight forward though. Less than 2 hours.

Umm... looks like it doesn't fit flush when it's retracted?

It won't fit flush because it is longer than the original. You can see that it overlaps the taillights. It sits about 1/8" above the trunk. The curve matches the trunk perfectly though.

Functional? I haven't put it in a wind tunnel, but Porsche put it on the Cayman and there is a similar one on the 981.

Stunning car Heliguy. Love everything on it black wheels side vents and the spoiler. Perfect for a silver 986 I think.
Can't wait to see your car finished with the Aerokit fitted.

I like it in some ways but the large gap when retracted may need some fixin. Maybe your new rear bumper will help fill the void or at least distract the eye from it. I wish there was a tight fitting retro-fit for the original spoiler. Nice job, I'm glad you like it, hope the whole project comes together nicely for you.
