Geez, took ya long enough! Looking good!!! :)

heliguy 07-16-2013 04:22 AM

Thanks particle. It took some time getting all of the parts together and painting the spoiler. The install was pretty straight forward though. Less than 2 hours.

ekam 07-16-2013 09:57 AM

Umm... looks like it doesn't fit flush when it's retracted?

heliguy 07-19-2013 10:05 PM

It won't fit flush because it is longer than the original. You can see that it overlaps the taillights. It sits about 1/8" above the trunk. The curve matches the trunk perfectly though.

Is it functional, meaning that it provides down force?

heliguy 07-20-2013 04:30 AM

Functional? I haven't put it in a wind tunnel, but Porsche put it on the Cayman and there is a similar one on the 981.

Lobo1186 07-22-2013 06:30 PM

ekam 07-22-2013 07:19 PM

MY 03-04 factory rear bumper.

heliguy 09-07-2013 06:05 AM

Aerokit I side skirts are on their way!

Nine8Six 09-07-2013 08:27 AM

Stunning car Heliguy. Love everything on it black wheels side vents and the spoiler. Perfect for a silver 986 I think.

Can't wait to see your car finished with the Aerokit fitted.

heliguy 09-19-2013 04:47 AM

Aerokit is in the Garage, just waiting on the mounting kit.

I like it in some ways but the large gap when retracted may need some fixin. Maybe your new rear bumper will help fill the void or at least distract the eye from it. I wish there was a tight fitting retro-fit for the original spoiler. Nice job, I'm glad you like it, hope the whole project comes together nicely for you.
