What's wrong with this picture?

Can anybody tell what's wrong with this picture?

whiteboxster 11-17-2005 02:48 PM

the service miles at 115 should be 1 mile.

jcbx 11-17-2005 03:21 PM

It's a white faced guage (Boxster S) and it only goes up to 150mph...It should be going up to 175mph

^What? When did the base ever have white gauges?

cpollan71 11-18-2005 06:26 AM

The cruise control is set at zero mph? ;)

Adam, you can order the Boxster with Carrara White gages (and other colors too). The code is XJF (white) and costs $690.

spgribben007 11-18-2005 08:46 AM

Doesn't it go up to 175?

1997, first year of the boxster even had them. You can have what ever you want as along as your got the $$$. I dont think they are even stock on the "S", everything is an OPTION.

bmussatti 11-18-2005 02:35 PM

You can get dials in:

Sand Beige (XFD)
Terricotta (XFE)
Natural Brown (XFF)
Guards Red (XFG)
Speed Yellow (XFH)
Carrara White (XFJ)

Call me crazy but my 01S has the MPH digital readout where the odometer is in this picture?
Do earlier Boxsters have a different spedo setup?

Joe
01S
Triple Black

The digital speed readout used to be were your current milage readout is. It was eithier in 00 or 01 that it was changed.

Adam 11-18-2005 04:06 PM

Then they changed it back under the tach in the 987. Makes more sense there.

Rail26 11-19-2005 05:36 AM

Jeph, so what is the problem?

Jeph 11-19-2005 08:21 AM

Nothing is wrong with the picture, I just felt like seeing some creative posts.

I was just excited to post a picture of my car on the verge of adulthood.

(I don't get out much)

Jeph you tease.

Rail26 11-19-2005 07:15 PM

Thanks for asking, but dude, the collection is getting ridiculous! I'm up to 3 cupfulls! They're under my desk -overflowing, and I'm constantly kicking the cups over! It feels like my life is spinning out of control -all because of these bottle caps that have a hold of me! I'll post a new photo of that action later.

gharari 11-27-2005 04:19 AM

you're weird, in a funny way. I'm new to the board and I guess I will just have to get used to eccentric Porsche people and their strange pass-times and humor. ;) Plastic bottle cap collecting and scamming people into thinking something's wrong with their guages. Ha! Love it.
