Great pic, I go up all the time, NC has more twistys then I could ever drive. Hit 226a sometime, it is a blast. Let me know if you ever want to do a drive together. I have a second boxster that I let friends drive and a buddy that has a new 911, he likes going every weekend if he could.

Sounds good!
We got off the Parkway just past Little Switzerland, onto Hwy. 80 towards Marion. Talk about a windy, twisty road. That would be a nice road to travel when it's not so crowded, like it was Sunday. We were going in the downhill direction, but I bet it would be more fun going uphill, letting the big dog eat.
I'll give you a shout sometime when I can cruise.

No mountains in Texas?
That's one of the states I haven't visited yet.
I bet you have plenty of open roads though?

There's some hills but not like the Carolina's. It also takes awhile to get out of the city. Yes, some good open roads but not as many twistys like you have. Twistys are more fun IMO

Twistys are definitely fun. They sure beat straight roads. Those are for big, comfortable vehicles with cruise control and DVD players, unless you really need to be somewhere, then they are okay.

Sounds like a great trip.
I have done the BRP several times on my Goldwing and LOVE it.
Looking forward to driving it with the top down

We may not have mountains, but we don't have police officers that enforce the law being a lime or two (or 7, or 8mph) OVER the speed limit.

Loved the NC mountains…but got a couple tickets in as many days for driving "Texas Speeds" in North Carolina. I was in fear of the speed limit and unable to enjoy as much of the mountain roads as I would have liked.

On the hand, or coat, you go to Cali and there are wild mountain roads rising out of nowhere….and you HAVE TO SPEED by a lot or be run over by the line of people behind you. Of all the places I have drive Cali is the MOST LIKE A RACE!!

In TX and CA open' er up - is the daily drive style! Come on down, let 'er race!

I wanna go too...

I'd love to run the BRP, only thing being, it's about a 12 hour drive away.
Nothing like taking a roadtrip to take a roadtrip!
