boxster project
I thought my boxster needed a change, so i decided to do a project consisting of:
Matte white vinyl wrap
Installation of coilovers
Rear Diffuser
desnorkel
New wheels and tires
im just waiting on some front and rear spacers(to clear the coilovers) then off for a fender roll and more lowering
Not much to say. Pretty straight forward.

Very nice. It is nice to have a change and from what i can tell you probably spent around 3,000 or so. So I have questions, which brand of vinyle wrap did you use and from where did you purchase? Was it 3M or another brand? Aslo those seem to be ksport coil overs and im interested in how they ride and if you feel that they add to the performance of the car.

I'll be damned, that's an amazing feat! The vinyl wrap looks very well done, and the coil overs sounded arduous. Have you ever had experience doing this before, or is this your first time?

I actually used oracal 651. Not meant for car wrap, but it gets the job done with patience. ill post up some urls of my other car projects i've done
as far as the coilovers, i think they made a great improvement on handling. What is also good about them, is that they are fully adjustable from height, camber, and stiffness

How well does wrap in general cover paint chips? Do they show through?

thanks bro! i know it's not everyones thing here on the porsche forum... some even said "raise the car" or "those wheels and tire sizes should be on a honda" but i guess thats what you get when you put a 20 year old with a porsche lol....
the rears are 235/40/18.. love the 20's on your 986!

covers really well...front bumper had major chips...covered perfectly fine =)

Looks good! Although my favorite color is the silver with red interior, I couldn't find a good one when I was shopping for one.
What tail lights are those? They look like smoked LED Depo lights, but they look lighter than the pics on EBay. If that's how they really look I'm sold on those for my car.

You should look up plastidip its great for temporarily changing colors and looks better than a wrap..... no seams or wrinkles.

Paint chips if down to bare metal
or the primer will still show through. The films are pretty thin and will cover up swirls marks and narrow scratches without issue but a paint chip about 1/8" wide or larger will show as an indentation.

Actually, the wrap is much more better in person than plastidip..the wrap is smooth without seams or wrinkles.
Pictures don't do justice..and plus, the wrap only cost me $75

They were plastidipped..so they peel right off. Let me know if you're interested
