Update on changing Boxster from track car to nice street car.

Finally got the ps leak fixed. Got the proper rims on. Swapped a RS60 red 987 driver seat. And just did a proper clean with years of tracking crap on the paint.

Still to do:
Fix the rear window (I want to keep plastic)
Paint calipers (I won't let the cat out of the bag, but it won't be red)
Maybe do a taillight treatment
Maybe a bypass pipe and add Pedro's 31hp magic bump

Your car looks uber clean! I never really liked to look of non-black soft tops until I saw your silver one! As for your red seat, is it OEM or aftermarket? I like the look and am thinking of replacing my cracked seats.

I believe Pedro is a forum vendor and he has multiple upgrades for the Boxster as well as nice tutorials on diy items...look him up on this forum.

Thanks Kenny, the triple grey on my Boxster was definitely special order from the factory. The red seat is an oem 987 seat.

I got the seat from a member of 6speedonline forum, he had switched out the driver's seat on his 987 RS60 for a race seat. Unfortunately, his son had crashed his car at the track and so he only had this seat left over.

The cf overlays/door trim are exactly that. Peel and stick. The beautiful thing is that they come in many pieces and you can pick and choose which pieces to put on.

The seat install itself was pretty easy if the 987 seat comes with its own tracks (bolts right up to the car). The hard part was re-wiring the harness . I got lucky because my oe seats have manual sliders fore/aft and electric seatback, just like the 987 replacement.

I did lose the heated seat function though ...tried every splicing known to mankind but the 987 heated wiring has 1 xtra wire compared to the 986 wiring?!?!
