First Porsche
I was lucky and was local to 'blue2000s', so I was able to buy his car.

It's registered! Two days after I bought it or some such. Since the tabs were current, they didn't require a new plate.

Really? I'm surprised they do that. Alright I take back the cheapskate comment.
You should join the PCA if you haven't already. Cheaper track days and autocrosses.
Have you listed the MR2 for sale yet?

PCA joined ... yes ... though I don't plan to autox/track the Boxster, that's what the Miata is for.
MR2 ... it's running, and I need to polish it and align it before I put it up for sale. May get both done this weekend, then I need to compose the ad ... sob :-( I know you'll understand. :-)

beautiful Boxster! Very nice combo. I actually like all the amber on it.

This time of year, the scenery is very nice around here. This is about 5 miles from my house ... though my house is not a 100 acre horse farm like this. ;-)

I agree ... I think clear corners is a pretty hard sell on this car, it looks so nice already.

You can take a non-Porsche to the PCA track day. But if you embarass too many Porsches with a Miata, they'll revoke your membership.
My membership is good for the rest of the season and I plan to take advantage of that.

I agree too. The amber looks less aftermarket to me, even though deambered was factory. Never desired that change.

Very nice. Great color too. Plus, I'm a big fan of the amber. I think they look particularly nice with that blue. Good job, sir.

Welcome! But you really have to track the Boxster, even though you have a Miata already. There is nothing like a mid engine balanced feel.

I have done a ton of autox and some track days in my Supercharged MR2 (which I have owned for 20 years but am going to sell to make space in the garage for the Boxster). I'm aware of the awesome behavior of mid-engine cars ... why do you think I bought a Boxster? ;-)
On the other hand, the Miata is a very good handling car, and with 480hp it will be much faster than the Boxster (and probably almost anything else) on track.

Actually, considering how twitchy MR2s are and how much of a monster the Miata is, I wouldn't bother taking the Boxster to the track either. It's so tame and well behaved that I would think it would be pretty boring in comparison. Then you don't have to worry about how low the roll hoops are either.
