Looks great now, but I think painted bumperettes make a big difference (and mine were already black!)

Yours looks great too MN 986! I think this is the first time I've seen bumperettes painted black. They look fantastic.

Absolutley go with Arctic Silver bumperettes. I usually have a spare set laying around, but I just installed a set on a friends 2000 S.

How difficult and by what method is the rear defuser attached? What was your retail source? I like the look, congratulations. Bob

Here is where I bought mine (no affiliation) and the paint match was great. I found them on Ebay but then saw they had a storefront for a few $ less.

Sprayed. Along with the 3rd brake light. I wanted them darker but after I saw the way they looked on the car I was real happy, plus now I don;t have to worry about someone rear-ending me cause I painted my lights too dark. lol

I found mine on eBay. They came painted and the color match was great. They gave useless little bolts to install. I ended up buying theaded studs, washers and nuts to go throught the bumper. You will have to drill holes by the Exhaust, everything else ligned up with factory holes.

Direct Car Toys did a poor job with the photo on their sales site. The camera lens make the car rear look like Dolly Parton (front) and appear to swoop down in the center. Also they appeared to have removed the chromy trim around the exhaust port. The defuser looks similar to the '03 S's bumper except that their chromy trim goes all the way down to the bottom of the defuser.
I'd appreciate you guys posting a few Rear Defuser photo of your own as I am trying to make up my mind on this item.

Thanks.

Thanks Lobo. We have the same taste in wheels. I had always liked my stock Boxster 17's but when I needed 4 new tires this Spring I found a good deal on 18" 5-spoke replicas (the older Italian-made version). Here is a pic that also shows my new de-ambered Litronics and GT3/AerokitII front bumper. It was a fun Spring for the Boxster!
