Clutch question (2001 Boxster S)

I noticed over the last week, once in a while that the clutch pedal feels like it's sticking or popping the last inch or two before returning to the full up position. I'm curious what you guys think this may be. I need to check the fluid levels / look for leaks. But is this a fairly obvious sign of some known condition?

clicking clutch

i had the same issue with my '98.
i took it to my mechanic, all fluids were topped and clutch is not worn.
we took it for a road test, at that time, on an open road, he accelerated to about 4 gear with about 4.5 rpm speed. While doing so, he pressed/depressed the clutch several times. This seemed to relieve the clicking noise. I haven't had it since. Just get in there and press/depress the clutch several times...get some lube in there and loosen the housing up a bit might do the trick.
