Hi shift26,

Congrats on the new top! Have you made the electrical connection to the rear window defroster? I'm finally trying to get my top "connected" since the weather has turned cool.

Tuan,

This is an old thread and shift26 hasn't been on the site since August 2007. He still however may respond. I will take a shot in case he doesn't. I do believe the window is tinted. Mine isn't tinted but I don't believe there would be any problems with interference causing damage to the tint. It would probably be a lot easier to have the glass tinted prior to having the top installed.

Best of luck,

ddb

Parks, are you planning to tint the side windows too?

I found it to be a really weird look myself, especially when you're rolling top down and you've raised your windows to cut cold air and sound from coming into the cabin on the freeway.

Now when I finally bite the bullet and put a new glass top on my car, I will probably tint the rear window, but I certainly won't tint the side windows.

i've heard the cons of the new glass top is engine access. is that true? is it a major problem or just a minor annoyance? also, how much was installation? the best price i found for purchase was autotop online. is that where you bought it too?
