Cool Anims 2004 Boxster after a quick Zymol wax

Went to see my parents over the weekend and managed to give the Box a nice clean.

Ran around the car with one bucket of cold water to get rid of surface grime
Then used Meguiars Gold class wash shampoo
Ran around it again with another bucket of cold water to get shampoo off
Dried the car
Did a quick skim over with some Meguiars clay on the wings and bonnet
Then applied Zymol Carbon Wax to the entire car

Took about 2 hours all in

Then spent the next 5 or so hours just staring at it

We all stare at a clean Boxster. Looks great and you are welcome to come and do that to my Boxster anyday. Another coat of wax will never hurt anybody.

How long did it take you to get the wheel on the passenger side of the car

A shiny boxster looks good no matter which side of the road you drive on

Just two hours though... you must have been running around the car without a break.

Beautiful! I love the way black looks after a fresh coat of wax. Hard to keep clean though. I used to own a black car- don't blame you for taking some time admiring your work!

Thanks all

RandallNeighbour, What do you mean about the passenger wheel

Yoadrian, I agree, Black is not the best colour to maintain at that standard. On the way back home there was a huge puddle across the road, it was 50% mud too and just my luck, 2 white vans heading towards me doing about 60mph, needless to say I was not happy lol

The one up-shot of waxing a car is that it takes very little to wash next time and mud, dust etc just runs off nice n easy.

I reckon it holds the wax finish for 3 months or so before I repeat it over winter, maybe last longer now we are getting to warmer weather.
