when i first got my boxster i was seriously annoyed at the scratches on the center console... and how it was so easy to nick the plastic... even the seat belt fasteners would rub up against the side near the seat bottom and scratch the console...

didn't wanna spend for a 400 dollar center console ... so i had an interior/leather seat specialist paint it alum... and included the dash.. also stuck some carbon fiber sticker on the door panel cubby cover... love the look and now it's a bit more scratch proof

+1 on the kit, looks tacky. I will (already have) take my chances with a rattle can, specially since most of those pieces are removable.
Those seats do look great. Was alcantara seat inserts ever a factory option?
