Hate to say it but when I look at these pics my eyes go straight to the unpainted bumperettes. Black/dark blue car not as obvious of course.

I have to agree there are some things that my eyes go straight to.
One of which is doing something to a car other than what was factory for that year.
As an example I go to allot of car shows and sometimes I see a great restoration.
If it has metallic paint or clear coat and was not that way from the factory its a turn off for me.
I know I am in the minority but there is a word I hear of the forms that fit and it is "purist"

I'm sure it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but that, in my opinion, is going to look sick! I saw a satin black Turbo parked outside a restaurant a little while ago and circled the block about three times staring at it. Keep us posted with that.

here is a pic of the satin black 996 turbo

Yes, I guess so. I've got a new project idea.... everyone, please post pictures of your Boxsters, in front of your house, showing a clear view of your house number and street. Thank you for your cooperation.

mustekal, it looks like someone accidentally put the steering wheel on the passenger side of your fine looking German car. Don't worry, I fixed it for you:
