Yea I set them for a track day when it was really cold and forgot to lower them. Otherwise I would have burned off the outside first. They are about 8K miles past the wear bars so I'm not complaining.

I looked at just about every wheel at TireRack.com for Boxsters. Those are the lightest wheels I could find. I think they were less than 20lbs.
Drop the car about an inch with some quality springs and that will look tight!

I need to weigh them. I don't feel any difference because I don't think there is any addition in weight. They are crazy light.
I do however feel a major difference in steering responce. Now mind you I did go from Conti 2's to Dot R's. But the steering went from dead and numb to downright twitchy.
